Example Case Study

Client - A world leading consumer electronics manufacturer.

Objective - To conduct a two-phased mystery shop over a two week period, visiting 500 independent retailers to ascertain sales staff knowledge of the manufacturer's digital imaging products. Staff who correctly answered the pre-defined questions were presented with a redemption voucher to claim a monetary prize from the manufacturer.

Process - Sixty staff were screened and recruited from our database to carry out this activity. They were sent a briefing pack with concise instructions on how to conduct the activity (thus ensuring continuity), redemption vouchers, log sheets to record the 'winners and losers' and pre-paid envelopes. Each phase was executed within the specified timescale; this, coupled with the prompt return of the field data, meant it was possible for our data department to send the client a full report on the activitie's success within 5 days of the final store visit.

Result - 100% completion of the activity on time. The client ran a similar mystery shop campaign with us last year; the success of this was instrumental in our selection for it again this year.
