Example Case Study

Client - A world leading consumer electronics manufacturer

Objective - To record all product information including brand presence, client stock, competitor stock, all price points, supporting POS, store dimensions, staffing levels, and staff opinion.

Process - We contacted stores via letter/telephone to advise them of the activity and then visited over 800 outlets. Data was collected electronically via Laptop and/or PDA, and included recording full product, brand, price and facing information of both client and competitors.

Result - The information obtained was used internally by the client to forge a clear direction for product purchase, display and penetration into new markets. This information was collected into an in-store profile report that aided the board in delivering the strategy of stock, merchandise and approach to channel. This type of event has now become a regular activity.
